You can access some stores by using the following route modification:

  1. at the 41.7 mark, go straight across Antioch, road becomes Ballfield Rd & ends in .7 miles.
  2. Make right onto Hwy 29, go 1.2 miles, & you will reach stores when Hwy 29 crosses I85.
  3. After stop at store, continue 2.3 miles, then make right onto Battleground.
  4. You will now be back on the marked "C" route, & your next turn will be a left onto Hwy 161 (as noted for mile mark 51.1)

Rider Information

61 mile course:

The 61 mile course features 3,050 feet of cumulative climbing.

Public Bathroom: 47.3 mile mark (available at Kings Mtn Nat’nl Military Park Visitor Ctr on left)

Shortcut on 61.0 route: At the 51.1 mile mark, riders may choose to eliminate a major hill & 3 miles by the following:

  1. crossing Hwy 161 (continuing on Battleground), instead of turning left.
  2. When road ends, turn left onto Unity Church Rd.
  3. When Unity Church ends, turn right onto Pinnacle Rd, & you will be back on the course.
  4. Then follow the "C­ " markings to the finish.
